Life Time Achievement Award
This activity of INSEE is in line with the objectives of the Society. This award is presented to a senior person who has contributed significantly in the field of Extension Education throughout his life. The contribution may be in the form of Education, Research or Field Extension Work. His work should be appreciated and accepted in the discipline. He should be a well know person in the discipline and should have wide recognition. The felicitation a such senior person/s will be an inspiration for the young person to achieve that excellence in life. He should be a “Path Maker” and become light and should set an example for others to follow. It is a felicitation of devoted and dedicated person in the field of Extension Education. This award is given every after Three Years on the occasion of International Conference/ Seminar organized by INSEE. The nature of award is Citation, Memento, Shawl, Shreefal and Bouquet. It should be noted that International Society of Extension Education is the only organization of its kind in the discipline of Extension Education.

Nomination for Life Time Achievement awards in the area of Agricultural Extension Education are scrutinized and finalized by the committee formulated for this purpose under the Chairmanship of Dr. A. G. Sawant Former Vice Chancellor, Dr. BSKKV, Dapoli and President, INSEE and Dr. C. D. Mayee Former Chairman, ASRB, ICAR, New Delhi and Dr. P. N. Mathur Former DDG Extn. ICAR, New Delhi.

Young Extension Professional Award

Applications are invited for awarding Young Extension Professional Award to be given during the above International Conference. The young extension professionals who are 45 years and below and working in Agriculture related Farm Universities, ICAR Institutions and KVKs involved in extension teaching, research and field extension in India and abroad are eligible to apply. The candidates must possess minimum of M. Sc. degree/ M. Sc. (Agri.) degree in Agricultural Extension/ Extension Education are eligible to apply.

Young Innovative Farmer Award
This Award has been sponsored by Dr. R. Dwarakinath former Vice-Chancellor U.A.S. Bangalore and former FAO Expert. He has donated Rs. 1,00,000/- to INSEE to institute this award. This is to recognize contribution of innovative farmers for initiatives in development, dissemination of farm technologies and adoption of improved technology and practices for increased income with sustainability. Entries for this award are called from through out the country and proper procedure is being followed given in rules and regulations. The selection of the farmer will be done according to the criteria laid down in the rules of the award. This award is given every after Three Years on the occasion of International Conference/ Seminar organized by INSEE. The nature of award is Citation, Memento, Shawl, Shreefal and Bouquet.


INSEE Award for Young Innovative Farmer

Award Rules:
1. Name of the Award
The name of the award will be “INSEE Dr. R. Dwarakinath Young Innovative Farmer Award”

2. Sponsorship of the Award
Dr. R. Dwarakinath, Former Vice-Chancellor, U.A.S., Banglore has donated an amount of Rs.1,00,000.00 to institute the award to the International Society of Extension Education.

3. Objectives
To recognize contribution of innovative farmers for initiatives in
Development, dissemination of farm technologies, adoption, modification and dissemination of improved technology and practices for increased income with sustainability.

4. Number of Awards and Frequency
One award for Innovative Young Farmer will be given at the time of INSEE Conference.

5. Area of Award
The award will be for the creative approach – innovative farming, technological acceptance, contribution in enhanced productivity, farming attributes shown by a farmer. This may involve activities like farmers innovation in resource conservation and enhancement, germplasm collection and conservation of plant, animals and fish species or Management Practices, Soil and Water Management/Conservation, Development of Appropriate Tools and Equipment, Innovations in Dry Farming Technique/Practices, New Improved Food and Feed Products and Control of Diseases among Plant/Animals, processing of agricultural produce & marketing.

6. Administration of the Award
A three member Judging Committee will be appointed by the President, INSEE.

7. Eligibility Criteria
Any farmer who has been involved for at least 10 years in agriculture and livestock operations and other allied activities. Preference will be given to farm youth.

8. Criteria of Selection
The farmer’s innovation/ creativity/ approaches should result in:
i. New knowledge/package of practices/management strategies / additional information to the existing knowledge & practices
ii. Additional income to the individual farmer as well as farming community
iii. Conservation of resources/ sharing of inputs
iv. Breaking technology transfer barriers
v. Prevention of outbreak of diseases and pests
vi. Bringing out radical changes in management packages resulting in productivity enhancement from land or animals, processing, value addition, and marketing.

9. Procedure for Nomination
Agricultural Production Commissioners / Secretaries / Directors of Agril./ Hort./ A.H./ Fisheries/ Sericulture, Vice-Chancellors of agricultural universities/ Directors and Zonal Project Directors of ICAR Institutes, Executive Committee member of INSEE Society will identify and nominate the farmers in their areas of jurisdiction and forward the authentic information to the Council. The application may be forwarded to INSEE through any of the above officials.

10. Presentation of the Award
Award will be given on the occasion of INSEE National/ International Conference.
